in his defence, the curse had been waiting for them to be separated, a weakness of its ability limiting it to attacks one on one. not to his defence, the curse correctly guessed which of them would break off first, leaving nanami to play catch up with the plan megumi had concocted in his head.
he deserved the sternly worded lecture at the end. he's also buffering his pride, just a little, before the next round with his fathers. ]
i got thrown around a few times, but it wasn't too bad.

( He could lecture. He's sorely tempted to. But Megumi is a good boy, with a big heart, and a lot to prove, and Geto understands that a little too well. So instead he taps his nail against his phone, holding back his sigh. )

As long as you remember that you got lucky this time, and to be more cautious next, then it isn't really worth beating yourself up over.

[ little notes on both the work tablet and his notes app; he'll outline it further when he gets in. megumi likes to handwrite his reports from time to time, keeping practice with his characters and pen strokes. it can be so easy to rely on easy; easy writing, easy techniques, easy outs. he always has to remind himself that life is worth taking the more difficult path for. ]
